Updates

Resound on your PC

Resound checks for a new version shortly after it starts and then every 12 hours. When one is out, a dot and Update appear next to the version on the home page.

1. Click Update, or go to Settings → App & startup.
2. What's new shows the changes; Update now downloads the new version, checks it and installs it.
3. Resound restarts with all your settings, sounds and paired phones.

Prefer to check yourself? Turn off Check for updates automatically and use Check now when you like. Downloading a newer Resound.exe by hand and running it updates too.

The phone app

The app updates itself. When you open it, it checks for a new version and switches to it as soon as that interrupts nothing: when the app is in the background, or you haven't touched it for a moment. Your pairing and settings stay.

The PC and the phone app work across versions. If a feature needs a newer Resound on the PC, the app tells you to update the PC.
